How To Get InvolvedDuring each semester, the Math Ed Society holds an opening social, a closing social, and a monthly activity. These activities may include a Professional Perspectives Forum, Praxis Exam preparation, and Student Teaching details. We also support academic success of local secondary students through tutoring and of society members through Math Fun Hours. We invite all society members to actively participate in each of these activities. As an Idaho Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ICTM) and National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) affiliate society, members are also NCTM members and have access to the teacher resources of both NCTM and ICTM. This includes research, lesson plans, fun problems, engaging activities, conferences, webinars, regional meet-ups, and book studies.
